Title: Gravity Defied: Pulling Off a Perfect Backflip Over the Forza Horizon 4 Lighthouse
If you’ve spent any time tearing up the roads in Forza Horizon 4, you know that Great Britain is packed with iconic landmarks. But while most players visit the Bamburgh Lighthouse for a scenic photo op, the stunt community looks at it and thinks one thing: Can I jump over it?
In my latest Xbox gameplay clip, I took that challenge a step further. Not only did I clear the gap, but I managed to stick a perfectly rotated clean backflip right over the top of the structure.
Here is how the stunt went down, the car build I used, and the exact spot you need to hit to recreate it yourself.
The Location: Bamburgh Castle Lighthouse
Located on the eastern coast of the map next to the massive Bamburgh Castle, this lighthouse sits on a raised cliffside. There isn’t a built-in Danger Sign that perfectly lines you up for a flip over the roof, which means you have to get creative with the natural terrain.
To get the trajectory right, you have to use the steep sand dunes sitting just to the south of the structure as a makeshift launchpad.
The Build: Choosing the Right Physics Breaker
You can’t just throw a standard supercar at a sand dune and expect to flip. You need a vehicle with a massive power-to-weight ratio, high ground clearance to absorb the dune approach, and a short wheelbase to assist with the rotational physics.

The Car: Hoonigan Ford RS200 Evolution (The undisputed king of FH4 dirt stunts).

The Tune: Maxed out to an S2 998 class with a rally-focused suspension. I softened the rear dampening slightly to give the car an extra “pop” when leaving the crest of the hill.
The Execution: Step-by-Step
If you watch the clip closely, timing the launch is everything. Hit it a foot to the left, and you smash into the brick wall; hit it too fast, and you’ll over-rotate into a spectacular wreck.

The Run-Up: I started the speed run from the beach flats to get up to about 140 MPH.

The Angle: Approaching the dune, you have to angle the car slightly off-center so only the front tires catch the sharpest lip of the ridge. This uneven weight distribution initiates the backward pitch.

The Airtime: Once airborne, I held the left stick back to assist the rotation. The car cleared the lower roof section of the lighthouse with just a couple of feet to spare.

The Landing: The trickiest part is letting go of the inputs right before impact so the suspension can settle. Landed it cleanly on all four wheels on the asphalt road below for a “Ultimate Air” and “Clean Landing” combo multiplier!
Forza Stunt Tip: If you’re trying this on your Xbox, turn Stability Control (STM) and Traction Control (TCS) completely OFF in your difficulty settings. Keeping them on will fight the car’s natural urge to flip in mid-air.
