XBOX One Game DVR – XBOX Record That

If you’ve ever played Black Ops 3 Zombies (Zombies Chronicles), you know that Verrückt is the ultimate test of claustrophobia. The tight corridors, aggressive zombie spawns, and lack of a Pack-a-Punch machine mean you have to rely heavily on traps, Gobblegums, and wall buys.

In our latest Xbox gameplay video, we tackle a massive high-round run on Verrückt, but we ran into a massive psychological and tactical wall: the ammo feel. Between trying to conserve Wunderwaffe DG-2 shots and spraying down hordes with the MP40, it literally feels like the “ammo is too heavy” to carry you past the high rounds.

Check out the gameplay breakdown below!

The Verrückt Survival Dilemma

“Verrückt doesn’t give you breathing room. If you run out of ammo in a tight corner, you aren’t just out of bullets—you’re dead.”

Unlike modern maps where you can constantly buy ammo caches or fully upgrade your tier weapons, Verrückt forces you back to classic survival roots. In this Xbox run, we highlight:

  • The Wunderwaffe Ammo Crisis: The DG-2 is incredible for clearing tight spaces, but it doesn’t generate drops easily. Every missed shot feels like a heavy weight dragging your run to an end.

  • The Trap Strategy Transition: Once you cross into Round 30+, standard bullets stop doing damage. We had to ditch the bullet weapons completely and pivot to the Electro-Shock defenses.

  • Gobblegum Management: Relying heavily on Alchemical Antithesis just to keep our heavy-hitting weapons viable without starving for Max Ammos.

The tension in this Xbox capture is real. You can see the exact moments where the panic sets in as the reserve counter hits zero, forcing a mad dash through the Asylum corridors.
